Witty, Charismatic, Intelligent, Charming...
If you're after these things, then I'm surprised you're here...
The Inane Rambler comes from a New Town just outside of London, which shall go unnamed due to the amount of complaining he does about it (hint, it is known for its exploding oil depots). He was born in the year that the UK physically rejoined the Continent, Nelson Mandela was released from jail and Mrs Thatcher was ejected from Downing Street (So overall a good year). He did both a BA in History and an MA in Medieval History at the University of York, and eventually became a Learning Resources Centre Assistant, (to you and I, a librarian) at an FE college in North London. After deciding he preferred history to books, he did a PGCE and became a history teacher at a secondary school in Yorkshire.
He is particularly interested in the Anglo-Saxon world, the Vikings, and historical use of tradition and legend. A chance watching of the February 1974 election coverage re-run on the BBC ignited an underlying interest in modern British and American political history, despite not being alive for most of it, and much to the despair of his parents, who were.

The Inane Rambler makes no attempt to disguise his *slight* political biases. He previously voted for what he thought was the remains of the Social Democratic Party, until his vote accidentally gave the country David Cameron. More recently, he has switched his allegiance to the People's Party, although every day seems to send him ever leftward. This has tended to get him into a lot of trouble with people whose views are not so left wing. It has yet to bother him.
